Villa Shanti Sari is only 15 minutes from Canggu, but it may as well be miles away. Shanti Sari sits behind a deep sacred valley. With spectacular views, the green jungle envelopes everywhere you look.
Driving through the villages to reach Shanti we got completely lost. But getting lost was a blessing as we stopped and saw ancient temples and kids who were genuinely thrilled to see a foreigner (a rarity in South Bali). After calling the villa to ask for directions, the villa manager’s simply asked us to stop on the side of the road and he would would find us –
there weren’t any other bule (foreigners) in town.  It felt like we were exploring untouched villages in a Bali from another time. On an island where everything is developing so rapidly, it was a beautiful thing to feel far away from it all.
Villa Shanti Sari is very special and you can feel the love that went into creating this haven. This is the kind of place that you settle in and don’t leave for the rest of your stay. Upon entering and seeing the gorgeous view, you immediately feel relaxed and at peace. If you want to escape from it all and re-energise, this is the place for you.
The 4-bedroom villa accommodates 8 people in total comfort. One of the bedrooms has an adjoining bedroom that is perfect for kids to be close to mum and dad. There is a media room and also the master bedroom has an upstairs section that can be used for yoga or meditation. The master bedroom also has a beautiful balcony that overlooks the river and valley in front. There are 4 living spaces. Two of them are next to the master bedroom and share views of the jungle, the other two are next to the pool and are perfect for lunch and morning breakfast. The garden and grounds are impeccable and the infinity pool has stunning views of the bridge and jungle.
The sunsets views from Villa Shanti Sari are magnificent.
The interior décor is classic Balinese with vintage furniture, rattan chairs, comfy sofas, batik fabrics and lots of beautiful wood. A lot of thought has been put into this place and there are statue details, flower arrangements and plenty of merrigolds freshly placed daily.
Villa Shanti Sari is for lovers of classic Balinese style who want a private luxury retreat.
It is a unique experience in a place full of authentic tradition and Balinese customs.
