Yak & Yetti Trader
Moonlight Collection
If this Yak and Yeti collection doesn’t scream summer vibes and holiday mode, I’m not sure what does! The easy breezy gorgeous new campaign for the Australian homewares and furniture brand was a pleasure to shoot. This was my second time shooting for this brand and I was excited to see their new range!
Ok, I’m not going to lie, I had a little panic attack when I saw how many items we had to shoot in such a small villa and in only one day! But I guess that’s my challenge: create a slice of paradise with a deadline. We also had a model from Castaway Management and Septian, our video master, on set as well.
With every shoot, there are different issues. Time is always number one as we only have a certain amount of hours in a hired venue. The second is space. The more space there is, the easier it is to place items. But in this case, the venue was not particularly large. So my challenge was finding a location for large items. Then we need to style it: choose tonalities; make beds; steam all bed linens; place props etc. And on this shoot we also had a model for an hour. So so so much needed to be done before she arrived! When she was on the shoot, we needed to move fast as we were not only shooting film but also shooting the video campaign.
But just like in fairytales where things always work out at the end, all’s well that ends well! This shoot speaks for itself and I couldn’t be happier with the results. The summer feeling is contagious, Bali vibes are jumping out of the screen and the Yak and Yeti Trader collection glows like rays of sunshine.
