I arrived at this shoot not knowing what to expect. I didn’t know the location and I wasn’t even aware of the types of products I was about to photograph. The house is located in the back street of a very local area and is totally unassuming from the outside. However, once I stepped inside, I was so pleasantly surprised. The arch windows, the beautiful concrete kitchen island, the high ceilings and the white flooring were a perfect canvas to create this very special shoot. This modest house with featured arch windows and doors and a white concrete floor make me feel like I was in a Paris apartment – not the back streets of the local Berawa market.
The Village Thrive range of products is small but all very carefully chosen. The coffee cups, and the wooden kitchen bowls are beautiful and unique. The rattan cot and mirrors and baby range of products are perfectly suited to this environment, so much so that they should stay as a permanent fixture. And what surprised me the most was the range of sarongs that the designer has designed herself. The colour scheme was a mix of dusty blues and berry tones that match the environment with ease. The Village Thrive collection also includes beautiful rattan chairs and different macramé wall hangers.
All in all, a careful selection of sustainable pieces that can easily complement a variety of natural interiors.
Take a look and let us know what you think of this very special shoot.
