The tourist and building boom that has happened in Canggu over the last 3 years has left me with this endless desire to escape to a quiet place. Somewhere where the air is fresh and the only thing to hear is the birds, all you can feel is the breeze between the trees and there’s nothing to see but the jungle in front of me.
Well lucky me! Because by chance I have stumbled upon Villa Naga Putih, located in beautiful Ubud. My deep need to regenerate and refill my energy is possible thanks to this stunning one-of-a-kind home.
This multi-level property is hidden within the jungle so all you can see around you is the beautiful nature surrounding it. The 4bedroom + study home feels really solid, the kind of house that will defy the test of time and the unforgiving jungle.
The lowest of the levels has the tv room, two bedrooms, and the pool and gazebo area. The infinity pool overlooks the dense jungle in front and gives you a sense of being far away from Ubud, although you are merely minutes away from the center of it.
The second level has two impressively-sized en-suite bedrooms plus a study. The two master bedrooms lead to a terrace overlooking the beautiful jungle view and the bathrooms have large open shutters that immerse you in the wilderness without having to leave your room.
The upstairs is a large open living space. The high wooden ceilings and large open space create a feeling of grandeur. The color scheme of black, red, and blue adds to the drama. This home is interesting to look at not only on the outside – due to the spectacular views – but also on the inside. The distinctive artwork and the black leather couches with red accents create an unapologetically unique interior. This home proudly reveals its individuality.
