There is a particular style of housing in Bali that should be experienced by everyone at least once. It’s the classic central pool and garden, with the rooms around it all leading to the pool.
Villa Ruby has that layout plus a whole other building for the kitchen and living, and an extra room upstairs.
This light and airy villa really is the perfect holiday house. Located in the very sought-after village of Padang Linjong (Echo Beach), it is on a quiet gang that leads onto rice fields and jungle.

Ruby is made up of 3 on-suite bedrooms + a large mezzanine bedroom above the kitchen area. The 3 bedrooms are fully equipped with king size beds, TVs, wardrobes and showers. It is beautifully decorated as the amazing team of Biombo Architecture and Interiors who created this haven always do a perfect job. Each bedroom is unique, but equally gorgeous. What a luxury it is to have your own stunning bedroom that leads to a lush garden or a pool! Especially when it is generous in size and has its own dream bathroom. And the men in the family will be even happier when they realise there is a TV in every room (my husband’s ultimate dream!).
The heart of the house is the living space. It is absolutely stunning. Biombo’s unique style – as seen before in Beyond Bungalow is evident throughout. The double story height with a triangular shape, the bamboo on the top windows and always a palm tree to finish it off. And when it always looks as good as this, why not!

I love love love that there is always a palm tree. The ability to do a double story height is such a great luxury. The great thing is that all the windows/doors from the living space can be opened up creating an incredible breeze and a delightful ambiance. Even on the super-hot day, I was shooting, I didn’t really feel the heat thanks to the great airflow of the house.

The living area is such a comfortable space, it feels like a home. And not just any home, a really cool one too! I could imagine that after spending a few days or a week here, it would be very hard to leave and go back to reality. The kitchen and dining are large and perfect for cooking for a small family or even entertaining the masses. Very well equipped and spacious enough to cater for a medium to a large group.

The garden and pool are just right – not too small and not too large. Really a perfect size that can be enjoyed by kids and adults alike, and due to the distribution of the house you can be in any room, but still keep an eye on your kids outside.

This would be a great house for a family or two to come, stay, and make the most of the garden and pool. The great layout of the house is perfect for small kids and the proximity to the beach would be perfect for surf lovers of all sizes. But just as much, it would be great for a group of friends to come and experience this very stylish surfy house while enjoying a great area that is buzzing with cafes, restaurants and bars.

Love love love this villa . Could it take 14 people ? 6 children 8 adults
Hi Alexa, I think 14 would be pushing it. There are 3 bedrooms downstairs, all with king size beds, and another king size bed in the mezzanine area. So that’s 8 adults but unless the kids are small and in the beds with the adults or in a travel cot, it would probably be a bit much. You could contact them directly for more info https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/40452216
hi do you have the contact of the interior designer of this villa ?
Hi Alex, Biombo Architects did the interiors as well. It’s gorgeous!
