Villa Lane
I was so lucky to shoot this dream location for the second time. The products from the homewares store Villa Lane fit like a glove at Casa Palma.
The worry about shooting at the same location more than once – I had previously shot Haveli & Co there – is that you run the risk of having similar outcomes. Thank goodness that the styling was so unique and we were able to use the spaces in completely different ways. The styling enabled us to create its own feeling and point of view for this collection.
Even though it’s the rainy season, we were incredibly lucky that the day of the shoot had perfectly blue skies. Lucky for me Villa Lane brought their own stylist, Caitlin from The House on Beach Road, so everything was ready to go. I arrived and began shooting right away!
The hero of this shoot was undoubtedly the way the bed was positioned. They made a bedroom downstairs on the deck under the palm trees, creating a dream-like scene that looked stunning from every angle.
One of my favorites scenes was the outdoor dining setting. It totally makes you feel like summer and sharing long holiday lunches with friends. But, to tell the truth, there are so many beautiful photos from this shoot, I could have chosen any as my favorite. The upstairs nook with gorgeous oranges and a curved mirror makes me feel like I was somewhere in Europe and had just picked fruit from my own tree. And the bench with those beautiful curtains gives such a gorgeous feeling of style and peace.
It was a total dream to work with Rochelle -Villa Lane and Caitlin -The House on Beach Road- to create this incredible shoot.
