The Shoot
Everyone who knows me knows that sleep is very very important to me. From needing at least 8 hours of sleep to function, to sneaking a nap whenever I get a chance, I am a big lover of sleep! So when Sleeping Culture approached me to help them create their campaign, I was more than excited! Known for their beautiful use of linen, organic cotton and luxurious silks, how could I resist!
I was already a huge fan of this brand, so I really didn’t want to disappoint them. The location for this shoot was of utmost importance. It wasn’t easy to find the right place as the bedrooms needed to be special and interesting (after all, it is for Sleeping Culture!). After months of looking for the perfect site, I remembered Amberley’s house. As it’s a private home, it isn’t easy to book. Sleeping Culture loved her home, the stars aligned, and we were lucky to get her house to create such a beautiful shoot.

The Brand
The day of the shoot I learned a lot about the dedication to the product and how personal the work is. Every bedding set from Sleeping Culture is made to measure. It’s like a haute couture for linen! All of their products are made by hand by only a handful of tailors and even by the owner of the company. Their detail and dedication really set them apart from any other linen brand that I have ever seen. The fabrics they choose are of the absolute highest quality. The owner Irina wouldn’t have it any other way. The cotton satin is exquisite, the linens superb, the color range huge, and the variety in designs is outstanding. But that’s not all, Sleeping Culture also creates napkins and tablecloths, and do linen towels. To complement their bedding, they produce gorgeous loungewear and linen robes. And everything is refined, well-made with the highest of standards.
The great thing about doing what I do is that I get exposed to so much beauty! The downside is I want to buy every product I shoot! By the end of this day, I wanted not only lots of their linens for my bed (as its always so nice to mix and match different colors), but also their pajamas and robes too. How to choose? When everything is as beautiful as Sleeping Culture, I better start saving!
