This set of 5 stunning bungalows are a hidden gem that we came upon by chance. They all have unique exteriors and interiors. Some have one level, while others have two levels. Some of the exteriors and interiors are old Chinese teak wooden houses that have been brought from Java. The design was inspired by a blend of Javanese and Chinese culture. The taste in each one of them is impeccable. The mix is modern furniture with beautiful old tiles, wooden retro window frames and doors, and gorgeous antiques.

The art on the walls is old Chinese drawings and prints. The common areas are a series of living rooms with very different aspects and designs, yet as it fits the rest of the theme of these bungalows it all somehow goes together with ease and without pretension. All of the bungalows have a little kitchen with a stove and a decent size fridge that allows the guests to make this place a real home away from home. Located in Canggu, Roemah Peranakan is perfect for long term stays.

It is ideal for families, for friends to share or for lone travelers. The shared pool is perfect for lounging around and the garden is beautifully manicured.

Due to the way the bungalows are set up, it is very easy to make friends with your bungalow neighbors. The Balinese staff exudes a warmth that transforms your stay for the better, making these bungalows really hard to leave.
