One of our favourites is Kilim rugs: these rugs have long been at the front of design trends, and for good reason.

Originating from Turkey, North Africa, and the Balkans, and known for their rich history and even richer colours, these flat weave rugs are bold, beautiful and timeless. A gorgeous Kilim such as this is a great way to add colour to a wood-heavy living space or to brighten up a guest bedroom.

Ikat Rug

Ikat rug designs feature a characteristic “blurriness,” a result of the extreme difficulty that traditional Indonesian hand-weavers had in creating perfect patterns using the dyed yarns in their rugs. This blurriness came to be seen not as a flaw, but as a defining feature of Ikat rugs. Now that pattern is making a comeback in modern interior design.

Jute Rug

Moroccan Rug

Moroccan rugs have distinctive designs, which range from ordered geometric shapes to more free-form, expressive patterns. They are almost always in a neutral palette (usually with an ivory background with brown or black geometric lines), and they have a shaggy pile.

This rug is timeless because it gives any room, particularly a cold modern room, warmth and patina as well as a dose of ethnicity and versatility.
