A luxury Bali villa that has joined the Mandala Group and is one of our new favourite Bali vacation homes.
This new spot, Mandala The Oasis, is right in the heart of Berawa, about 3 minutes to the beach by scooter. In the midst of all the hip cafes and cool hangout spots in Canggu, no-one would guess that there’s a huge luxury Bali villa located there, hidden in plain sight.
Walking down the amazing hallway with a gym, and workout spot, you are welcomed by giant floating plants, and a long and amazing bar by the pool. Not to mention the over the top interiors inside this luxury villa.
This is Mandala. Your ultimate Bali vacation home.
Mandala The Oasis is a 5-bedroom villa with en-suite bathrooms, kitchen, gym, hangout spaces, pool and a bar. We couldn’t have asked for more!
If privacy is a priority, the main bedroom is for you, as it is separated from the 4 other bedrooms.
This house is like no other. The entrance is quite intriguing as you walk through a basement-like space with glass pods that contain different rooms. These rooms are the gym and exercise areas. And they lead you to the piece de resistance…. the open courtyard with a single oversize floating frangipani tree in the centre. The walls remind me of La Muralla Roja. A Spanish house with stairs going up and downing many directions. This courtyard has the same effect leading actually to the upstairs rooftop. But we’ll come back to that in a moment.
You walk past this impressive architecture and artistic display and arrive at the kitchen. The mirrored ceiling might just be one of my favourite features of the house because if you look up, you can see the reflection of the dining area through the kitchen island.
The natural concrete flooring matches perfectly with the wooden cabinets that seem to be carved perfectly for the appliances.
The art in the kitchen, which is by Mersuka, is a great addition and really elevates the room. The whole living area is visible from the kitchen. Of course, the first thing you’ll notice is the beautiful floor-to-ceiling mural on the main side of the wall. This memorable statement art works so well in this house.
Mandala The Oasis also has a sunken couch which became quite the Bali interior trend in 2021. But we’re not complaining because we love it! The sunken couch complements the high ceilings and makes them look even higher. If you want to move the party outside, Mandala The Oasis also provides seating areas outdoors and has a bar by the pool.
This is why Mandala villas always become the go-to place for entertainment!
If you’ve been to Mandala home or Mandala on the rocks, you’ll know what to expect with the bar by the poolside, it’s almost like they have trademarked this feature as part of their designs. They have the most beautiful and trendy bars in each villa and Mandala The Oasis is not going to disappoint you.
Moving to the second floor, this is where the main bedroom is found. This bedroom is the only one with a balcony that has a view of the pool, and the garden. The room utilizes a monochrome theme. It’s also the only bedroom in the house that has a bathtub in its ensuite bathroom. Plus, it features marble interiors!
The second floor has a view of the massive mural in the living room. A door leads out onto a big rooftop hangout space in the villa. It’s decked out with all the bean bags, cushions and throws you need to easily host a movie night or a bbq sunset session with your friends here. This fantastic space connects the main house and the other 4 bedrooms.
This side of the villa has its own charms, with an extra touch of their own beautiful Mandala style of bali interiors and architecture, especially when the sunset hits and the shadows just fall onto the walls and corners perfectly.
The 4 bedrooms have an almost identical design, although each has unique details, such as the colours of the tiles, the wall paint, and most importantly, the art that decorates inside. As well as a shower and toilet, the 2 rooms on the left have a balcony with a view of the rice fields, while the other 2 on the right have a nook with a view of Berawa.
