We have been so lucky to gain special access to Lindy Rama Ellis’ home in Bali!
Lindy is Bali royalty. Nearly a decade ago, Lindy decided to leave the big city and settled in Bali with her family. So much happened during this time, including divorcing her former husband Michael Klim, meeting her new partner (now husband) Adam Ellis and having her fourth child. She also started a couple of businesses, the latest is Fig Femme. You can hear about her new endeavour on our podcast when we chatted to Lindy a couple of months ago.
Throughout all of these changes, she remained in Bali. Finally deciding to build her home with her husband and start this new chapter in her life at Pererenan Beach. But of course, the house needed to accommodate her four growing children, her huge and enviable wardrobe, as well as her home office!

The double height living room + the sunken sofa adds light and space.

They decided to enlist the very well-respected architecture firm Sukyf (here is some of their work) to build their home. And the architecture firm didn’t disappoint.
The 6 bedroom, 5 bathrooms + office, sits on a 3 Are of land. It actually packs a lot for the size of the plot. It even features a large pool, a butler’s pantry and a garage.
There are some beautiful features in the house, and the kitchen would have to be my favourite. An absolutely stunning kitchen with all the cabinetry made from teak and showcasing a beautiful marble benchtop. The sunken living room is undoubtedly a standout feature, decorated with a trio of Souq wire-mesh lamps. The living room connects to the swimming pool with a glass wall, so she can see her kids swimming underwater!
Her black dining table is also from Souq, as are the beautiful chairs. They all go perfectly with the glam but modern look of the house. She balances it with gorgeous Moroccan rugs throughout her house that add that extra warmth and homey feeling.
Another one of my favourites rooms is their master bedroom. First of all, the size of it is insane! It’s a very large bedroom, with another large room (her wardrobe!) and yet another large room (her en-suite) all connected. I can see why her whole family loves their bedroom as well. Its huge, comfy and cosy. It has 3 sitting areas, a king size bed, a perfect bathtub and a wardrobe to die for! All the flooring is wooden parquet, like the rest of the house, so it is warm and welcoming. There is a beautiful artwork and custom made furniture.
From her bedroom she can access her office, which is beautifully decorated with family photos, large prints of Big Femme and various travel trinkets.

After living so many years in Bali, you realise that modern comforts exist for a reason! Having all bathrooms indoors, being able to open or close your home in its entirety has many benefits, and being able to walk to the beach is a privilege. There’s no doubt that Lindy’s home combines her own style with insider knowledge that comes from living in Bali long enough to know the features that make a relaxing life.
