The first time I saw these lamps were at the Cove store in Canggu. I immediately fell in love with them. The shapes were versatile and simply a great size. The color combinations were perfection. I knew they were special. It doesn’t surprise me at all to have learned that the designer behind Kaba is a stylist from Italy. Of course! KABA lamps are handcrafted lamps made of an iron frame and cotton yarn.
What does Kaba mean? These lamps were conceived in Bali and are a tribute to the village of Kaba-Kaba where time seems to have stopped. The product and ideology of Kaba are aligned with the slow movement. They are hand-woven individually – one by one. It’s a process that takes time – but it’s absolutely worth it.
The making of each lamp is, as the designer describes, a sort of meditation. There is a delicacy in each of the lamps. You can see the love that went into making each one of them. The shape of the frames and the color combinations recall a vintage atmosphere & design, but at the same time are very current and on-trend. And the beautiful thing is that each lamp is unique and can be ordered in many variations, playing with colors and shapes.

What is the price of these
Hello Ros! I’m not sure of the exact price, they are in the AU$200-AU$300 mark. But I can’t tell you for sure. There place that stocks them is Cove Island Essentials in Berawa https://www.bali-interiors.com/cove-island-essentials/ (across the road from Milk and Madu). I hope that helps!
Hey !
I saw the lamp when I was in Bali and I loved them.
Only problem : I didn’t have any space enough in my bagages.
Now I am back in France.
Do you know if I have a chance to buy it on internet ?
Thanks you a lot.
