As a proud interior design enthusiast, I was particularly excited to visit Villa Contenta, a luxurious Mediterranean-style Canggu villa in Bali, Indonesia. The villa is available for daily rental and boasts five bedrooms, with five and a half bathrooms. I was eager to see the interior design in person.

Many of the best Bali villas have some sort of design feature that really stands out. In this case, as I walked into the villa, the first thing that caught my eye was the round sunken living room with skylights at the top. What a way to make an impression! The living room was large, with plenty of seating options, making it an excellent space for socialising or relaxing with family and friends. The skylights let in natural light, making the space feel airy and bright. The arch doors behind it added that perfect interest to the space and invited you to take a look at the outdoor area.
The living room is decorated in a minimalist style, with neutral colours dominating the space. It utilises modern and sleek furniture, with clean lines and no unnecessary adornments. The designer plays with scale, light and shape to create interest in the space, and make this area the focus point of the space. The adjoined kitchen has a perfectly finished Californian feel to it and is fully equipped. Perfect if you are planning on cooking some meals while you are staying at this Canggu villa.

One thing I love about this villa is the cohesion. This is something that all the best Bali villas have. Without it, what could have been a stunning villa can easily feel mismatched.Â
Casa Contenta’s rooms are all cohesive in their decor, tonality and textures. All of the doors to bedrooms and bathrooms have an arch shape and even the bedrooms have similar artwork that give a thread of a story throughout the villa.
The villa’s bedrooms are all very elegant. Each has its own ensuite bathroom and outdoor view. The bedrooms are minimalist, with custom-made artwork by the designer. The artwork added a personal touch to the rooms, making them feel classy and inviting.
The master bedroom is particularly impressive, with direct access to the pool and outdoor area. The room has large arch-shaped glass doors that open up to the pool, creating a seamless connection between the indoors and outdoors. The bed is large and luxurious, with crisp white linens. The master bedroom has a walk-in wardrobe and a vanity desk and chair. The master bathroom is also very beautiful, with modern fixtures and finishes. The bathroom features gorgeous countertops, a classic bathtub, his-and-her sinks made exclusively for this house, and double showers.Â
The outdoor living and dining areas are a great space for entertaining guests. The comfortable sofas in the outdoor living area make it an excellent space for socialising. In the outdoor dining area, the large square table accommodates up to 8 people, making it perfect for dinner parties or family gatherings. These two spaces have direct access to the large swimming pool and an extra comfy cabana, perfect for lazy siestas under the sun.
The villa’s large terrace upstairs overlooks the sunset, a great spot to relax and enjoy the beautiful views. The terrace has plenty of seating options, with comfortable chairs and sun umbrellas.

Overall, I was impressed with the interior design of Casa Contenta. The designers have created a luxurious and minimalist space that is inviting and comfortable. The use of neutral colours, textures, and custom-made artwork have added a personal touch to the space, making it feel like a home away from home.
As I left Casa Contenta, I couldn’t help but feel inspired by the interior design. The villa had shown me that a minimalist approach can still create a luxurious and comfortable space. The use of custom-made artwork has added personality to the space, making it feel unique and inviting.
Villa Contenta is a beautiful and luxurious villa that is perfect for a family vacation or a group of friends looking for a getaway. The villa’s interior design is minimalist and inviting. The villa’s outstanding features, such as the round sunk-in living room, master bedroom with pool access, and large terrace overlooking the sunset, make it a unique and unforgettable experience.
