What catches my eye about Rumah Simba is the design. It is an amalgamation of Mediterranean, Japanese and minimalist style, built around a beautiful view of a ricefield. The entrance is as unique as it is round, with Buddha statues and a ‘floating’ stepping stone pathways. The design, created by Bali Oasis Projects, is deliberately Zen, with a lot of water elements imbued. Rumah SImba features a lot of communal areas, with custom made furniture made by local artisans. Capturing its essence was truly a mind-blowing experience.
