If you are looking for a modern, luxurious villa that will surprise you at every turn, then look no further because Azula House will give you all that and more!
This is certainly an eye-catching villa that pushes limits while remaining functional and aesthetically charming.
My Shrine was contracted to do the interior design of Azula House. A 5 bedrooms, 6 unique bathrooms spread out across three floors.
A project that was perfectly created as a photogenic home which balances the modern and natural feel. All the interior areas reflect My Shrine Designs’ personality and taste. The combinations between natural elements inside the house, such as the limestone feature wall in the dining area, really ground this luxury villa and make it feel more “homey”.
From the moment we stepped in the door, we were stunned by the gorgeous, custom-built, palatial living area that boasts views of their lap pool outside and dining area.
Floor-to-ceiling glass walls on the three story home show off the living space – which incorporates an exclusively-designed sunken lounge, custom kitchen and a dining table for entertaining.
You will also find the perfect mirror pink room that is the guest toilet on the 1st floor which has extraordinary details in everything, including a hand-painted wall and a matching pink ceramic surroundings.
Let’s not forget about the kitchen, with its simplistic and luxurious design that includes big windows to let the sunlight in from the side of the property. It’s complemented by a stunning collection of curated Kevala ceramics dining sets. If you look carefully, you’ll see the incredible details on the custom chairs that decorate the kitchen island. All have been custom-made and are high enough to sit in comfortably while the cook is preparing the meal!
It wouldn’t be a Bali home without a large garden, and a pool which oozes luxury by having a marble edge around it! Plus, this outdoor area also includes a bar!
Connected to the patio next to the pool, you will find a bedroom room with a perfect bathtub and shower. This is the only bedroom on this floor and it also has a floor to ceiling glass wall which easily connects the indoor and outdoor.
What I love is that each room creates a different feeling and personality, while still remaining part of cohesive design for the entire villa.
The first bedroom next to the stairs feels like the ocean, with blue undertones in the decoration. Of course, every room has an en-suite bathroom with double his-and-her sinks.
Right across this, the next bedroom uses a different colour palette on its half-circle bedroom and headboard to create a sunset vibe.
Upstairs, the main bedroom is an oasis of calm, with a private terrace and en-suite bathroom.
This bedroom is the “calmest” room from the villa because of the pastel selections of furniture and paint. It is decorated with matching concrete art installations that you can see all around the house. The en-suite bathroom will surprise you with dark green ceramics, and a massive bathtub overlooking the view of a rice field.
Just when you thought there’s nothing else that would amaze you, going up to the third storey, you will discover another bedroom set apart from everything else with an artistic touch of hand painted cement walls and accent. The little hints of terracotta from the cushions really bring the whole concept together.
Other amenities in this incredible villa include a rooftop jacuzzi, a sauna room, a rooftop terrace that could be converted into a yoga shala, and outdoor amenities like a poolside bar and patio sitting areas.
Azula House is a home filled with fun and surprises. Every corner has something interesting to look at. Its colorful, arty but is also practical and well thought-out. No detail was left unturned. It has explosions of colour but also has calm spaces to restore the balance. A unique home that could never be duplicated.
